This notice explains what personal information K1 Partners collects, why we collect it, how we use it and the rights available to you. We handle personal information conservatively: our business depends on confidentiality, and we treat data accordingly.

What we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, the nature of your enquiry and anything you choose to write in the contact form or in correspondence with us.
- Information from our engagements. Where we act on a mandate, we record professional details relevant to the engagement: role, organisation, sectors and geographies of interest, and the history of our interactions.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operational purposes.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and to assess whether we can act on it.
- To perform a mandate you have engaged us for, including identifying, verifying and introducing counterparties.
- To maintain our record of professional relationships, which is the operational basis of our work.
- To comply with legal obligations, including record-keeping and any applicable anti-money-laundering or sanctions screening requirements.
Our lawful basis is normally your consent, the performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in operating a professional advisory practice — whichever applies to the circumstance.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We do not share your name, your intentions or your documents with any counterparty or third party without your consent.
- We do not send marketing communications to people who have not asked for them.
- We do not use advertising or profiling cookies on this website.
Who we may share it with
In the course of a mandate, and only with your knowledge, information may be shared with professional advisors involved in the transaction — such as lawyers, accountants and technical specialists — and with counterparties you have agreed to be introduced to. We also use service providers for hosting, email and form handling, who process data on our instructions only.
International transfers
Our work is cross-border by nature, and information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where that occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection, including contractual safeguards with our providers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted. Records relating to an engagement are retained for as long as necessary to meet legal, tax and professional obligations, and to evidence the origin of an introduction.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no profiling. Typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a third-party font service, so visiting this site does not disclose your IP address to any external provider. If we introduce analytics in future, this notice will be updated first and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We apply access controls, encrypted transport and confidentiality obligations across our systems. No method of transmission is entirely secure, so we ask that you do not send confidential transaction details in a first message.
